Tonight's Sky

Rise and set times, what is worth looking up for, and whether the weather will let you see it. Everything astronomical on this page is computed on your own device from a verified ephemeris engine Computed. Meteor shower parameters come from the International Meteor Organization's working list Documented. The weather, if you ask for it, is a forecast someone else made Forecast, and the page never blends the three.

No location set. Without one this page shows universal event times only and cannot show rise, set, or radiant visibility for your sky; the controls above are how you provide one.

Privacy, in plain words: the place search and the forecast are requests your browser sends to Open-Meteo directly. This site never sees your location, because the site is static files and there is nothing for a location to be sent to. Typed coordinates and the device-location button stay entirely on your device unless you fetch the forecast or search a name. "Remember" uses your browser's own storage, nothing else.

Meteor shower peaks, and solar and lunar eclipses. Peak instants and eclipse times are computed from the ephemeris Computed; each eclipse is verified against the NASA canon. Shower activity spans, radiants and rates are the IMO working list Documented. ZHR is the ideal-conditions zenith rate, a ceiling, never a promised count.
